Alzak Amlani

Alzak Amlani, PhD, is a professor of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, (CIIS) in San Francisco. He has been a practicing psychologist since 1997. He incorporates a range of depth approaches: humanistic-existential, yoga & Buddhist philosophy, cross-cultural perspectives, Jungian work, mindfulness practices, object relations and the Diamond Approach. At CIIS, he teaches: cross-cultural counseling & the family; an experiential seminar on the writings of A.H. Almaas-Diamond Heart; a writing seminar on integral psychology and psychotherapy; and group supervision for therapists in training. Currently he is researching and writing on themes of psychospiritual development for people from strong familial-collectivistic backgrounds and identities, such as India.
